An 81-year-old British grandmother has shared her heartbreak at being separated from her toyboy husband, who is half her age.

Iris Jones, from Somerset, has shared a touching post on Facebook expressing her love for 36-year-old Egyptian Mohamed Ahmed Ibriham.

The gran previously boasted about their wild sex life, although the couple have been kept apart in recent weeks as Mohamed has stayed in his homeland.

Iris recently shared an animated image, known as a GIF, of a love heart made from rose petals, alongside the caption: “For my husband.”

In the comments below her social media post, she added: “You are in my heart forever.”

Mohamed, who first met Iris on Facebook last year, responded to his wife’s message by commenting ‘I am for you forever’, with Iris replying ‘thank you my honey’.

Iris and Mohamed have been cruelly separately by visa issues, which has seen him remain in Egypt.

Plans for Mohamed to come to the UK are currently on pause as he attempts to get a spousal visa.

Iris previously left TV viewers red-faced after appearing on ITV’s This Morning and sharing intimate details about her new-found sex life.

Speaking to presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Iris said: “It was very rough. Nobody’s been near me for 35 years, I felt like a virgin again. We used a whole tube of KY jelly.”

However, not everyone was immediately pleased with Iris’s new relationship – and family members were left fearing Mohamed could be after her money.

Iris’ son Stephen Jones, 53, said that the romance threatened to split the family.

He said: “She revealed that she’d been talking to this guy in Egypt. I didn’t know his age and didn’t really think too much of it. Then one day, she came out and said ‘I’m falling for this guy’.

“When I found out his age it caused a lot of friction. My brother didn’t accept it, I was dubious about it because of the age difference.

“Darren took it worse than me. He didn’t want anything to do with it.”

Iris later revealed that son, Darren, later had a row with her regarding the relationship, sharing his fears that the young man was after his mum’s money.

But feisty Iris insists Mohamed isn’t after her money nor is he seeking a passport to Britain.

She said: “If he’s marrying me for my fortune he’ll be sadly disappointed because I live on a pension.

“I don’t suffer fools gladly. I’m honest and I’m truthful and I told him straight away he couldn’t be a freeloader.”

The family have since made up, however Darren’s wife Debbie stated her husband did not wish to speak about it.
